The 75" was just released, wish it came out a few months earlier when I was doing my living room renovation. Overall, I'm super happy with the Frame, it isn't the best in picture quality, however, the look of the art mode and no gap mounting is SO nice. However, the dongle connects to your oneconnect box, so there is nothing dangling from your frameTV.Īlso, the FrameTV comes bundled with the wall mount, no need to buy a mount for it.

Select the Chromecast device from the list of available devices. Click on the 3 vertical dots on the upper right corner of the browser. Open the Steam website or application and log in with your username and password. You'll need to buy a separate chromecast ultra dongle. Open Google Chrome on your laptop or desktop. However, there are times I want to cast my screen or a photo from Google photos, but the Frame does not show up on 'castable' devices. You can cast youtube/netflix and some other apps that are installable from the Samsung store. It is a super elegant solution as I just poked a small hole in my wall and dropped the oneconnect cable behind down to another small hole for a super clean look.Īs for Chromecast, the TV doesn't quite have full support out of the box. It uses the OneConnect box, so there is a super thin wire that comes from the TV all the way to a separate box that then has all then inputs/outputs and power. In my case, I wanted to retain an option to use Samsung TV remote, and I found that disabling an Anynet+ option called " Auto Turn Off" fixes the issue while still allowing to control of Google TV with Samsung's remote.Sorry for the late reply, but I have a 2019 65" FrameTV. Now choose the device you’d like to cast your Windows desktop to. From the casting menu, click the Sources drop-down and select Cast Desktop. If you control Google TV only using its own remote, you can simply turn this feature off completely. First, click the three-dot menu icon in the top-right.

HDMI-CEC is an industry-standard name ( Consumer Electronics Control), and Anytime+ is a Samsung's trade name for the same feature. This feature allows controlling a device connected via HDMI (in this case Google TV Chromecast) using a TV remote. The issue was caused by the Samsung TV feature called Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC).
